Scan may not be legal in PSDR but I don't see how you couldn't make a little CAT program that would take you up the band in 48 or 92khz snapshots for example and then when you hit the top of the band start over. The panadapter/waterfall combo and maybe something like skimmer are pretty good

All the comments below add to the reason I bought an Astron RS35m and moved my MFJ-4125 to powering my FM rig. The MFJ would drop as much as a volt with the SDR-1000 under full load. Transmit was a disaster. The RS35M will drop from 14.2 to 13.8 under full load (measured with DVM at SDR1000
