Hi, I am in the process of putting together a new PC for the 5000A (and secondarily for Microsoft Flight Simulator). Thanks to Neal and many others on this reflector I think I have figured out what parts to get. The video card (because of MSFS) was the hardest thing to choose. I am left with

Hi Chris They measure screens diagonally so I would expect you could use a 24 monitor (gee an extra bonus!) Its almost impossible to buy a bad monitor right now, and prices are quite low. Brands I really like include: Hanns G (available at Best Buys) ASUS Acer Dell (their monitors are the best

Looking to the future, you might want to consider using TWO monitors with the 5000a computer. I use two, rotated 90 deg (they stand on end). Some video cards, like my Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT, allow this. When using several accessory programs with PowerSDR the additional pixels are handy. BTW,

Neal, You can sometimes set the monitor to a high resolution, like HD 1920x1080, and then increase the text size to 150% in Windows |Display, and then turn on, or increase the Scaling in the display adapter's control panel. At least, the AMD Catalyst Control lets me overscan. I can only use

I haven't noticed the latency when enabling headphones because I always have speakers, headphones and line out enabled. When I hear someone I want to work, I just grab the Heil headset and transmit. Having the speakers enabled while using the headset has never caused a problem. 73, Clay
