Trying to get PowerSDR to run on a brand new laptop.

Was the radio by chance powered on when you installed PowerSDR 2.0.22?

Dear Flexers,
Many thanks to those who have commented on my infrequent post.
I have still not managed to the 1500 I bought in August 2010 to work.
I have tried several machines and now have built a PC that meets the spec
quoted on this list and on the pages often quoted. The machine runs

Start and Stop radio.
Reboot computer.
Try and older version of Flex.
Switch to Icom radio problems goes away. Of course,

Does the noise floor also pulsate, or is it just the demodulated audio?
Is it a very periodic kind of pulsation,
What version of VAC are you using? If not 4.09 then I would recommend changing
to that.

Yes. There are numerous reports of buffer over and under runs with VAC 4.10
that can cause audio drop outs that could sound like pulsing.
I cannot get 4.10 to work at all on any of my Win7 machines but 4.09 (signed)
works great.

covering the software support in DDUTIL and how it integrates with PowerSDR.
This article will give you a flavor of what you can

A great idea! Thanks.
I just saw a pix on W9OY's site. Any possibility of making it wireless in
the future? I hate cables.

Greg,
Cycle the power to the radio, then hold the Left Shift key, while starting
PowerSDR. This should reset the database , and should correct your
issue.. You will need to restart PSDR once you do this and it should
re-read your EEPROM from the radio into the new database..
Hope this
Dear Graham,
