Steve, I'd look at one of the 11 inch HP Stream notebooks. Bought mine at Walmart, where they're on sale now. Windows 7, 32GB SSD, 2+ GHz processor, 2 GB memory. Battery life is upwards of 7 hours, depending on what you do. It had more than enough horsepower to run my 1500. Brad KV5V On

Carl, The 1500 does not have power measurement hardware, SWR hardware, nor a built-in antenna tuner. Your external in-line wattmeter is an excellent choice to use with the 1500 to show that the little jewel really is transmitting. All is well. The CQWWDX CW contest this weekend is a perfect place
