I have everything setup correctly, but when I go to start any sound card

From Flex web site: PA modules with different power ratings are available
as special order items. Please contact FlexRadio Systems Sales
(sa...@flex-radio.com) for PA module options and pricing.
What other power levels are available? 100 watts?
I already had to mortgage the kid to pay for the dang Flex.

Someone needs to invent the RF-to-Visible Light upconverter.
Similar concept to a FLIR camera, the SOHO ultraviolet solar images, or
night vision goggles, but they can let you see RF in the 1-1000Mhz range in
false colors.
You could sweep the place RF clean in no time.
I clicked on the Check for Update button in MiniDeluxe and it says a new
version is available.
The site it takes me to download it looks frightful. Any ideas what's up
with it?

I remember reading that the transition from AM to SSB caused similar
doom-sayers.
I think we can learn from history, even outside of ham radio, those who
refuse to adapt and change are the ones left behind.
AR needs to go digital. Not because it's the future, but because it's what's
now.
When
So when do you think the Yaesu's, Icom's, and Kenwood's will come out with a
Flex competitor?

Exactly what I meant. Flex-i-cal like.

I think the original comment was about a 'Flex-style' SDR implementation,
unless I misunderstood!

So what sample rate / buffer sizes would be best for someone interested in
weak signal digital mode operation?
I'd assume matching the 48000 VAC sample rate because
a. Latency isn't that big of a deal to the digi mode software. (with JT65
maybe not)
b. Only need to see a small bandwidth on the
I have been wondering the same thing. Why do I have to pretend to have a
sound card interface.
With the bandwidth of the Flex I ought to be able to have a digi mode
software that reads the direct I/Q stream of an entire RTTY/Data sub band,
detects the modes, and gives me a huge panadapter
So how do the Olivia and JT65 modes software report that they receive
signals, that I can't see that, are -26db S/N ?
-Original Message-
But remember, if the signal is already below the noise, no matter how
much processing you do, you won't be able to dig it out.
Isn't the AGC in the Flex defined in software though? Can't I shut it off
by selecting Fixed or Custom?
-Original Message-
Generally speaking you are correct. The problem occurs when an undesired
signal gets into the passband of the radio and actuates the AGC of the
receiver.
I've accidentally set the output of HRD/DM780 to be the Microphone
(FlexRadio Microphone) device.
The result was blasting loud audio bringing the Flex to its maximum RF
wattage in the 110 watt range!
I was thinking more of a program designed with Flex in mind though.

We do want Flex to continue to exist, don't we?
Well, yes. But also refer to the other posting... Where I want AMATEUR
RADIO to continue to exist.
