This could be from a noisy switching power supply. I had the kind of noise as described and changing power supplies cleared it up. A good linear type power supply may help. No such noise as described now, so not characteristic of a Flex Radio. Could even be noise from a close by wall

Dave, I think the NR is far more effective r on this version 2.0.22. Along with many other items. If you have audio crackling with the NR, many parameters can effect that. In addition to the settings of sample rate and buffer size for the firewire, try reducing the NR Taps in DSP Options.
