But, what about us folks who already have a GPSDO and 10 MHz
distribution setup ? I use it as the reference signal for my
counters and Service Monitors.
Can the 10 MHz Reference Input be routed to the rear panel ?

As they say in the pileups ...life is too short for QRP... .
Take a look at the specs on the new YAESU VL-2000. They claim

It's a Pentium 4, 3 GHz CPU with 2 GB of RAM and Windows XP S/P3.
I would need to add a firewire card to it.
I also use this computer for Logging (DXBase) and HRD/DM780.
Would it be adequate to run the 5000A ?
Looks like the consensus is no.

At what frequency was this 0.5 Hz measured ? !0 Mhz ??
That is not that good. If you plan to use Transverters,
then it gets extrapolated upward. For example, at 10 GHz
it will be 500 Hz.
Better you get a GPSDO for your reference and be a lot more
stable.

What size is the fuse inside the radio ? And what size (and type)
of fuse will you put on the outside ??
It does no good to fuse the outside if the inside one pops first.
Of course, if the one inside pops, then you have more problems than
just under-sized wires or workmanship.
