Up until a day or so ago I was
able to smoothly change the freq on my Flex 5K (1.18.0) by left
clicking and holding while sliding across the panadapter. Now all of a
sudden it will slide part way and then hang up.

Since (as Tim noted) there is so much more data being generated when you
drag the mouse w/ SR turned off, it is far more taxing on the computers
resources (particularly on the video updates). Some computers and video
cards handle it better and more gracefully than others. If yours
