Did by any chance, you just download (allow to be downloaded) yesterday's
Windows Update?
It included October's scan for malicious software, which will use a good
part
of your CPU for a little while.
You can look in the task Manager (control-alt-delete) and be sure to check

Since I've not seen any block diagrams of the 5000 I'm wondering if a member of
the Flex team can provide some insight on the audio processing chain.
The Flex 5000 allows you to set the transmit bandwidth. It also provides an EQ
that allows you to shape the audio. Many people use external EQ.

Hi
How strong is the Audio Poweramplifier on the Flex1500 ?
I use a non amplified 4 Ohm speaker which gives sufficient
audio output, but am afraid heathing up the built in
Audio Amplifier.
Is there any risk in doing so?

With initial install all was well. Radio used alone worked fine. Set
it up to work as a pan adapter with Omni VII, cannot get audio from
speaker.
If I set up audio in setup to input 1500 and output 1500 I get the
following error message:
Port Audio Error
Unanticipated host error.

I have a new FLEX-3000 and am not sure if this issue is a beta issue,
hardware or settings issue. My audio output is erratic, sometimes sounding
fine, sometimes distorted and often just dropping out. I can see
on subsequent times the audio is
present at time of start. Any feedback about this?

I have taken Allen and one other responder's advice. I have been checking
latency using the driver's latency checker and one other. Performance has
improved but two problems persist, please comment:
1. About half the time after booting the driver does not see
with a similar setup.
