Hi Gerald, Eight USB outputs for the SDR-5000 is not enough, hint, hint, hint. I will require at least twelve. ___ FlexRadio mailing list FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archive Link:

Gerald, If TX1-TX3 can be set to become a binary output for band-decoding, how would you key an external device such as an amp. If TX1-TX3 are sending out a binary code for antenna switching or other band-encoded function, then they would have to be in that state during both TX RX, and

By chance, is there any documentation of the flex wire protocol / commands? I am familiar with i2c, and while my rig is the sdr1k I thought I might create a flex wire emulation from the sdr1k to enable easier future migrations Jim - W4YXU Jim Lux wrote: At 12:42 PM 10/13/2007, Gerald

Bob, You wrote, Currently there is only one way to get band data from either Flex radio and that is via CAT. I respectfully disagree. The X2 connector on the SDR-1000 can easily be set up to give band data. This functionality is missing on the Flex-5000, however. The world awaits a FlexWire

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my SDR-5000. As I wait, I continue studying the manual. Here is my dilemma: I operate all HF bands as well as 6 and 2. On every radio I have owned, I demanded an output from that which would let me get the band data. I have always built the required

Some of what I developed to bandswitch my Quadra may be useful, especially if you already run one of the common logging/contesting programs when you operate, as I always do. I am now using this same setup with my SDR-1000. See http://www.ab4oj.com/quadra/w4uk.html Jerry W4UK At 01:13 PM
