I was going to ask a question here today and was surprised to find that it
was answered (I think) before I asked it! You guys are good!
I was going to ask if I connect my Z3801's 10 MHz output to my F5K will the
Flex inherit the same accuracy as the standard?
I think the Stu might have
I've used the F5K with an external reference and can verify that it
works; you can see WWV's carrier jump when you plug and unplug the
external reference.
However, perhaps Tim could verify something for the time-nuts amongst
us: is the clock for the ADC locked to the same reference as the
I have a question concerning the frequency accuracy of my 5KA.
When I tune to WWV 10.0 MHz. the digital readout on the lower right hand
bottom of the Panadapter reads -19.1 Hz 9.999 981 MHz. My sampling rate
is 192.KHz. Does this mean I am off frequency by almost 20 Hz? If so, how

Dan,
Checkout page 69 of the Users Guide. Describes how to use the Setup =
General + Calibrate menu to auto calibrate to WWV. Should get you
within a quarter of a cycle.
Hope this helps

7hz using WWV @ 10MhzIf I change

Yes, there's a BNC jack on the rear panel for connecting an external 10MHz
