[Flexradio] broad band noise

[Flexradio] Bothersome Problem
Hi, I have a small problem that is bothersome more than disruptive. I've noticed it primarily on 6m the last few days. When I am on cw and go to ssb, my mode goes to digu with the vac on. When I change modes to USB the vac goes off as it should. My problem is that it does this while on ssb and I click on other stations. Each time I change freqs, I have to go to USB and then turn vac. Turning on the vac I know is required due to the setup. How do I keep it from going to digu vice USB? Thanks for the help in advance, my 5000A is something else. Re: [Flexradio] FlexRadio Manual
I've had my F3K for just over a year. I found the existing documentation and Knowledge Base articles good enough. Many things have been improved to work better over the years but very little has been added so the documentation, while old, is still valid. When I had a specific question I asked it here on the reflector and very quickly got good answers. Someone posted a query a short while ago looking for a used F3K. It's the best radio I've ever had in 61 years of hamming so I wouldn't part with mine for anything less the the price of a 6700 :-) It's not nearly as bad as people are making it sound! 73, Rich - W3ZJ Jon Hall wrote: I must be missing something here. A good community project would be to make a list of all the errata and then ask for help in incorporating them into the current manual. I f one of you take the organization and management of this project I would be glad to help with one or two of the errata lists. Breaking it up would get other volunteers and you could coordinate and collate all the responses into a update? Go for it, Duane N6DMR Reply to: 1. Owners Manual (N1naz) 5. There has been so many changes to all of the flex line of radios and PowerSDR that the present manuals only touch on the basics and some of them are now very misleading or outright wrong! More time and money needs to be spent on keeping these manuals up to date. Even the Wiki page is out of date! Not only are their documents all dated, even the online resources give the appearance of neglect. It must impact on the number of support requests they get. For a radio that is computer centric most of the computer info on the site is out of date as well. I looked for the fireware cards on their recommended list from 2008 and none of them are still available.
