Frank,
First, let me clarify my position with respect to the new architecture: I
do not work for FlexRadio, I am a volunteer developer. My concept of how
the new software will be structured may or may not be the way it happens, I
can only suggest ways to implement it.

I wonder if you have done any experiments with graphical interfaces with
JS. I think I probably have something roughly equivalent in function but
on a completely different architecture but have stopped short of trying
to do a graphical display because I have to severely limit the time I

What is killing the Firewire is probably the Fast Ethernet controller.
A PCMCIA card should do the trick. I have only used ExpressCards. Others may
be able to recommend a PCMCIA card.

I have WSJT working on my 5000 but am curious as to how to set the TX gain in
the VAC setting. For PSK31 I use an IMD Meter from KK7UQ (which works great
BTW) and that helps me set my my IMD for 23db. However I have no idea as to
where to set the TX gain for JT65A.

share IRQs, and do not use Adaptec FireWire PCMCIA cards, as I have
wiped out three with different results. But even the cheap Chinese
