Netgear use the interface and cables as backbone linking on their reasonably
new stackable switches GS724TS etc. up to 96GBps bandwidth on the 48 port
variant.
We have several and performance is excellent and very inexpensive.

at Amazon.com at a very reasonable price. I have 5 of them in use and never had
a problem. It comes with a CD driver.
