Microsoft does strange things. Just because an update doesn't cause a blue
screen of death doesn't mean it didn't do something somewhere that could
cause you grief. For example, Windows XP when
Microsoft was kind enough to inform me that some updates are available
for my system.
Among them are some Net updates.
Has anyone experienced problems with these?
My system is running so well, but as they are Security fixes, I thought
I'd ask first.

For what it is worth (nothing) I have let every Microsoft update install
automatically for the last decade for every operating system up to Win7
64bit without any issues whatsoever in spite of common wisdom. The only
change I ever made was to revert to the legacy firewire driver.

I have installed the updates you refer to yesterday and there are no ill
effects.

Yep, Over the years I've done the same thing whenever new Microsoft
update(s) are announced. However, most identified optional (3rd party)
updates are reviewed first and the majority are never downloaded. Have
not had any burps in PowerSDR operation regardless of the version.

If you are planning on using DDUtil, you should keep up to date on .Net
components.
