from my limited understanding of Git - you have painted yourself into a
corner by having bare repo at one hand and creating situation where you
need to merge on the other.
Possible immediate solutions I see
- either clone the thumb repo to a new non-bare repo, add your master

I've been trying to drive FlightGear from an external instance of JSBSim

To summarize, all objects having a pass of render bin -1 are rendered
before any object having a render bin 1. If an object have two passes,
it is rendered twice, once with the objects of the same render bin than
