[Flightgear-devel] nvidia 8800GT for the taking

2012-06-30 Thread James Turner
I happen to have a spare 8800GT (512MB, 64k rom - NOT suitable for Mac use)

First person to say they want it for something useful gets it. Ideally you'd
PayPal me the price of posting it to wherever you are in the world.

If something useful includes making shaders work better on 'slightly-older'
hardware, I'll pay the postage myself!

James

I'll take it. (it's better than my 8600gt). And as you know I'm messing with
shaders too.

Emilian

Re: [Flightgear-devel] Release 2.8.0: feature freeze starts now

2012-06-30 Thread Bertrand Coconnier
2012/6/26 ThorstenB bre...@gmail.com:

(The version change was pushed to sg/fg/fgdata consistently. If you get
a version mismatch, make sure you have pulled all three repos, rebuilt
and _installed_ sg + fg. If you still get a version mismatch, try a
 clean build - and _install_.)

I don't know if it's only me, but all my efforts to match sg/fg/fgdata
version were unsuccessful until I manually deleted
src/Include/version.h in flightgear.
After a complete rebuild and installation FlightGear was finally able
to start but the above mentioned file was not restored ?!?

Bertrand.

Re: [Flightgear-devel] Random vegetation and Atmospheric light scattering (was Re: Shader menu structure)

Hopefully I'll be able to do a similar fix for the random buildings
 before the release.

This is now done as a first pass, with the proviso that the atmospheric
scattering disables the emissive and reflective building characteristics
at present. There should no-longer be any annoying scenery artefacts
popping up out of the general haze.
