... and it looks like the windows version crashes immediately when it tries to bring up the splash screen (based on --log-level=debug). This is on my windows XP test machine that ran v2.8 ok. Hmmm... fgfs.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close, we are sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi All, I've just pushed a small commit checking in new versions of the FG Short Reference, something I should have done with the updated Manual a while back. If someone could cherry-pick the commit into the release branch, that would be great. The commit is:
