snip
makes your messages hard to read. I don't see anything in the headers
to tell me what you're using; could you check your preferences for
anything that might be causing this?

Hmmm...looking at the headers...could it be Yahoo webmail? I don't use it but
I can check with my boss on these issues, as he does. AFAIK there is a way to
turn of html mail in Yahoo, which is probably a good idea when communicating
via mailing lists.

Best,

Jim

2005-08-02 Thread Craig Martin
OK, I will attend to this. Thanks for the info.Andy Ross [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:
Craig, two quick issues with your mail:First, I notice that you are habitually starting new threads byreplying to existing, unrelated messages. Don't. This causesproblems for those of us who are using threaded mail client (I useMozilla Thunderbird, for example). It's confusing to be readingthrough a thread and then come upon a block of unrelated messages inthe middle. Standard etiquette requires that new threads shouldalways be started with a brand new email message directed toflightgear-devel@flightgear.org (or wherever).Second, your mail client is generating odd content. The plaintextversion is normal, but the HTML version (which Thunderbird displays inpreference where it exists) is marking *your* text as a reply (that is
). This may or may not be true for others, but myeyes want to "skip over" quoted text when reading email, on theassumption that I have already read it. It's just kinda weird, andmakes your messages hard to read. I don't see anything in the headersto tell me what you're using; could you check your preferences foranything that might be causing this?Thanks,Andy___Flightgear-devel mailing listFlightgear-devel@flightgear.orghttp://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-devel2f585eeea02e2c79d7b1d8c4963bae2d___
