I rec'd similar messages from the Wryting list I'm on, and was told that
in that case it was the badtrans virus. Don't open any
attachments...

Well, I just got one from you Alan, so there must be something
wicky-wacky going on. By the way, both (from Reed and Alan)
had old (in the case of Alan's: VERY old) subject lines, so
maybe that's a clue to this deus ex machina
