hi kathy, it depends on where you are? i have a 'sunset' garden book that gives the zones. i am in zone 1 so when i clean out the beds at this time of year on a nice warm afternoon, i re-mulch or everything will freeze, we have frost until memorial day. i have green shoots coming up on the side
