I'm having some problems with a need for a large mouse pointer and KDE (we need a large mouse pointer because the user has 4 screens all running at 1600x1200 and have so much real estate that they lose the pointer).
We took a bdf cursor font that someone had out there, did a bdfresize (4x), edited it with pfaedit to smooth out the edges. Saved the file, converted it to pcf, and gziped it. We have tried putting it in: /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/cursor.pcf.gz and it will only work for the user's next session. After rebooting, X complains "could not open default cursor font 'cursor'" tried makefonts in that directory also tried restarting xfs also tried rebooting a couple more times. also tried banging my head against the wall. none of that worked. The offending pcf is included as an attachment. Please CC me on any replies, thanks... Dave Johnson [EMAIL PROTECTED] 203-956-6870
