It is quite simple, XCIN uses Big5 bitmap font and it fails because it doesn't exits. But you still can view big5 encoded file because Truetype font is used instead for Gnome application. -federic Hi, I have install Xfree86 4.3 and the basic fonts and can read web pages/files with big 5
