Hi Orly,
Two things that I believe you should check:
1. Ensure the path in maker.ini is correct. Otherwise the client would
not get initialized.
2. Whether you have the latest patch installed for FM10 application i.e.
10.0.2.418.
Also, make sure you are looking for the menu that
Hi Orly,
Can you try one more time using the DLL from this link --

Then try these steps again--
1. Copy the BookComponentMIFWash.dll to the fminit folder on my computer.

Hi Chris,
This issue you raised about binary files and SVN used to be true but is
somewhat inaccurate now. I stayed away from SVN for a really long time
because of this very issue. I thought it was ridiculous that every time I

the new machine was easy enough, less so for the epilogue.ps file.

What do you mean by “convert”? All of our editorial processes are done in Word,
including adding preliminary index markers. When the files are handed off to me
for typesetting, the Word index markers import and convert to Frame markers
automatically. There’s no extra steps necessary that I have

I've never used RH to process DITA files, so I can't imagine what the process
is. Do you have to regenerate your FM files each time you update your content?
That sounds very slow and tedious.

Tammy, do you not have the option to save as FM 9 files instead of MIF, or is
that the customer's requirement?

There aren't a lot of differences between FM9 and FM10. I'd send the
user MIF 10 first and see if import works without errors. As an extra
check, they could export to MIF 9 and diff the files to see what if
anything is lost on import.

I always (well, since FM 6) thought the only way to zoom a document was
to select a preset from the pick list (which could only be altered in
maker.ini or with the Set command).
But I just discovered that you can type any number you like in the zoom
box where FM 11 lists only 25/50/80/100.
