I am struggling with the equation editor, trying to add a prime symbol. I need
the equation to read
Ef '(2Nf)
but I am getting this:
Ef' (2Nf)
How do I apply the ' to the expression inside the ( )? The Help is no help.

Rick,
You may want to try IrfanView for this. It's free. Worst Help system in the
world, but you won't need it.

Hi, Lea -
The suggestions I'm trying out now were 1) to create a table anchor format
paratag to span across columns, 2) use a plugin. I think Rick's TableCleaner
will help me automate a lot of the formatting.
Terrif is just an editorial comment by me. ;)

I'm creating a new template with sideheads and table definitions that begin at

Speaking as a newbie, but also more than 40 years old, I really like the
interface. The black on gray makes the menus and such usable but unobtrusive,
and I like the fact that I can control the illumination. It's still hard to
learn (I made a few stabs with FM8), but seems much improved to me.
I was wondering if there is an easy way to change the line that you get with
the standard Single Line on reference pages. I want to update about 300 files
with a new line thickness for my Frame Above paragraph tag. I am not able to
just import reference pages, otherwise I would do just that. I
Fred, Nadine - I have inherited a complex setup that would mean a lot of hand
tweaking if I just did the import; I'm trying to get around that limitation.

Hello, Shlomo -
Thanks. I checked. The file names in the commands all match the file names on

links fail there, too. Do you recommend switching to all lower case?
You mentioned the case of the file names being

Art,
I tried downloading the Standard eval - the Free Trial link forces me to the

the developers think can be solved using 8 or 9 Standard. We just need a proof

Wow, didn't know that. Okay. I'm sure they don't have server installed.

You can also propogate OLE links unwitingly by copying and pasting from, say, a
Word document. I've discovered some of these in my legacy docs.
