Try the following:
Make a copy of the FM file.
Save the file as a Word file.
Open it in Word.
Do the conversion to table in Word.
Opening the Word file in FM.
Copy the table back to the original FM doc.
Select the entire table and apply the table ruling and shading "From
Table." This

The short answer to your question is no. However, when doing the convert to
table process you are able to choose a table format to use as the target format
for the new table. Be aware that the table format only allows you to choose one
para format to apply to all the non-heading table
weekend.
