Hi
We are goin to change all our Times New Roman 10 pt fonts to Verdana 9
pt fonts.
What is the easiest way to update all styles in the paragraph designer?
Right now, i have the following solutions:
1. Press ctrl+m and update each style in paragraph designer. Import
formats to whole book.
2.
How about the following:
Make a copy of the file, and delete all par tags except for the one you
want to change. Make the change, then import the par tags from that file
(which should only include one style), to all the files in the book.
I never tried this for par tags, but do these often
1. Press ctrl+m and update each style in paragraph designer. Import
formats to whole book.
2. Save as .mif search and replace Times New Roman and 10 pt
respectively. Save as .fm and import formats to whole book.
If you do step 1, why do you have to do step 2?

Verner,
Another easy way to do this is to maintain a separate template file
(or use one of the chapters you've already changed). Make the
modifications there, and then Execute Import Formats from the book
level.
(John: It's a numbered list of methods)

That's a good idea, Shmuel, and to make the change at once, I would
suggest this:
1. In the Paragraph Designer, click the *Default Font* tab.
2. Choose *Commands Set Window to As Is*.
3. Select *Family *Verdana and *Size *9 pt.
4. Choose *Commands Global Update Options*.
5.

Update All applies to a single paratag only.
The UI is a bit misleading here. You should read what's below the button as
well: "Update All Formats Tagged: ".
