auto-spell check feature (or appears to) ..
EnableAutoSpellCheck=On
Set this to Off and see how it goes.

Thanks, Scott, but it's probably easier just to do it through the GUI
(File Preferences General). Presumably it should be possible to write
an ExtendScript to toggle it on and off and link it to a toolbar button,
and perhaps someday I'll try that just to save a few mouse clicks.
