Theresa, You can probably do away with the CRs by just putting your cursor before the Heading 1 text and Special-Page Break and then at the option for At top of next: choose Column from the drop down list and then click the Set button. This assumes you are now at the top of the current column. If

An easier solution is to create a paragraph format called PageBreak. Give it a very large space below setting that is larger than the height of the text frame, such as 500 points. You can insert a paragraph with this tag wherever you need a page or column break. You can also use Special Page

Stuart, What I meant was that I had divided the master page Body text frame into separate frames. In the first instance I had 6 frames, 2 columns wide. I think the flow may have been top left, top right, middle left, middle right, lower left, lower right. In this way the Pagination: Top
