FrameMaker seems to get stressed out doing book searches. That's one
of it's favorite times to crash in previous versions as well. I find
that if you open all the files in the book before the search, it
doesn't tend to crash from a book search.

That's simply not true. Both Find Character Format and Find Character Tag have
been there as long as I can remember (at least 5.5 or 6). I'm looking at a 7.2
