I have a word in a font called TechnicBold. If I search for a word with

to Times New Roman, it finds it just fine. Why would the Find feature
not be able to find a word just cause of the font applied to it?

Do you guys use Frame for conversion to HTML docs, or do you use a tool

Find an old index that works and import all styles from it. That should erase
the problem.

When I publish my help, I simply apply the master page and it applies it
perfectly. I am doing true single sourcing. I link my Frame files into Robohelp.

Have multiple book files, one for the French, one for the English. Those books
may share some files. Use conditional text to deal with that.

The bug in FM 9 & 10 occurs when the variables tab is attached to other tabs
and in a panel. You have to remove the variables from the panel and tab so it
is independent and floating.

Lisa,
With structured Frame, content and formatting are separate. After you create
the content, you run the style sheet script (XSLT or XSL-Fo) and it formats it.
When you send someone the raw XML file, there won't be formatting. They need to
apply the style sheet script as well. Unless of cours
Do you have Adobe Pro? It comes with Live Cycle Designer. That's a forms making
program. Use that. I use it all the time. It's excellent.

Heather,
Talk to your developers. Make sure that their code is written in resource files
and they can assign a unique ID to each help button. If everything is
hard-coded, you won't be able to do CSH until they fix the code. Then use
RoboHelp for help.

Deanna,
In Frame 11 you can do what's called a Shared Revew. You host the doc on the
Acrobat server and each reviewer can make comments and see everyone else's
comments. This works very well so you don't get 5 people making the same
comment. You're supposed to be able to import the comments and

If you make a change in the para designer, and then want to change it back to
the previous setting, it resets it. Note though, that if you click Apply, it
doesn't set it back. It's only changes you make before clicking apply.
