I have copied my book to oldbook and copied book files to oldfiles. In
one file, I have cleaned up master paragraph and charater catalogs
(deleted excess) and fiddled with master pages to make them perfect.
Now I'm ready to create a new book, but there are hundreds of
cross-references

However, since then I have copied the book to a new book (cross
references working) and deleted many excess paragraph tags. Now my Apply
Master Pages is not working correctly.

When I save the book as pdf and tick the create hyperlinks, the index
pages (AIX, SIX) *sometimes* have active hyperlinks and sometimes not.
The little white hand *always* shows in the pdf, but it doesn't always work.
Ideas?

Turns out that the cropped Acrobat file needed to be saved as .eps
