The attachment shows that DNS is unable to find the IP address. This appears to be a DNS resolver issue, not a network issue. Check /etc/ resolv.conf and make sure its correct. Then check the indicated DNS servers using dig. such a simple thing i didnit even think to check and it solved

A lot of applications i have fail to compile and im assuming work correctly due to the fact i had KDE3 4 installed on my AMD64 7.0-STABLE machine .. i have deinstalled KDE3, but a lot of the dependencies form it remain, so my question is 1. How do i remove all the old kde3 stuff and

The solution would be very simple, but because you're insisting on having the D: partition formatted as NTFS, a problem occurs: As far as I know, FreeBSD's NTFS support is okay for reading, but not for writing. (I'm not 100% sure because I don't have any Windows stuff around to check.)
