Hi all,
I was just reading the announcement about OpenOffice packages being released
for 4.7 and 5.0. What are the differences between ports for these two
releases? In general, how is a port for the CURRENT branch different from a
port for STABLE?
thanks in advance for answers

Ah, I was under the impression there was a different ports collection for

Hi all,
I am really stumped by this problem. I'm trying out GNUstep apps under
FreeBSD 4.7 with XFree86 3.x and the XFree86 4.2 libraries. I've tried
Fluxbox and Windowmaker (latest ports).
Most, if not all of the GNUstep app windows and menus are unruly. In
GNUmail, the app menu won't go
Hi all,
I just compiled a 'hello world' in objective c on a box with gcc but no
GNUstep. I'm using the compile command as I found it in the tutorial.
Any idea what I did wrong?
thanks,

Hi,
has anyone tried running GWorkspace or GNUMail? I seem to be having a
problem with the application menu not going away or redrawing when it's
supposed to. It seems like there is always an extra one on the screen that
won't go away. Has anyone else seen this?

Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out how to get more debugging info out of my core dump.
Here's all I have so far:
local:~ gdb -c wmaker.core
GNU gdb 4.18 (FreeBSD)
Copyright 1998 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
GDB is free software, covered by the GNU General Public License, and you are
welcome
Here's what I have so far:
-
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.^M
Reading symbols from /usr/X11R6/lib/libwraster.so.4...done.^M
Reading symbols from /usr/local/lib/libtiff.so.4...done.^M
Reading symbols from /usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.so.4...done.^M
I dug through the lists, and recompiled/installed the whole port. But
everytime I run X with Windowmaker 0.80.1 I get a segfault. I usually run
Fluxbox or Blackbox, but some time ago I ran Windowmaker with no problems.
Any ideas?
