I am experiencing strange things. When my system boots the screen is overrun with
marks everywhere and as it loads the words on the screen are all misspells as do the
command's when I type them in, they still give the expected response thought. I cannot
figure this out do you have any Ideas
I was trying to use sysintall to install additional packages. When specifying the
FreeBSD CD as the source, I get the following error:
Error mounting /dev/acd0 on /dist: Input/Output Error (5)
Whenever I cat /dev/acd0 or try to mount the device to /cdrom I get the same error.

PROBLEM: Error Mounting CDROM
AT BOOT SYSTEM DISPLAYS: acd0: CDROMSamsung SCR-3232] at ata1-master PI04
THE COMMAND THAT I USED TO ACCESS IT WAS: mount /dev/acd0
WHICH RETURNED: CD9660:/dev/acd0: Input/output error
I checked /dev to insure that the device was there I checked the kernel, tried
I have been having trouble using my cd rom
The measage I recieve is
cd9660: /dev/acd0: Input/Output error
I took some advice I recieved here and rebuilt the kernal I thought that maybe the
problem was that the Delta Cdrom was reporting to the OS so I added the line
SCSI_REPORT_GEOMETREY but
When my system boots it doesnt display the kernel conf menu...any ideas?
