Maybe because of mplayer -streamdump rtsp:// ... ? :-)
I've not checked, but using -streamdump with mplayer lets
you dump most

I've not checked, but using -streamdump with mplayer lets
you dump most datastreams (coming from another file, a DVD,
actually i never had a case it would fail to work :)
