And I'm guessing these informative error messages come because Kerberos5 was not
compiled with LDAP support. I want kerberos support to my whole system, so I dislike
the idea of using a port, that would make it a tad more difficult.

Good morning,
this was two links from the front page of freebsd.org:
http://www.freebsd.org/releases/5.2.1R/hardware-i386.html
Why don't you just try and install?

For some reason, after make installworld, my whole system seems complete except for
nslookup, which is still the old version. I have NO_BIND=true in make.conf, does that
also mean client tools and libraries aren't built?

Perhaps you didn't install the games package. Run /stand/sysinstall and select
configure - distributions - games.

I am writing to request for advise/recommendations on the
subject. I've
been tasked to build a router/firewall based on FreeBSD. I'd
like to use
5.2-RELEASE.
Now my only problem is that I have played a little with ipfw in a
situation where I have just two interfaces, 1 external and 1
or the like, without the quotes.

Why are you concerned about 4.3 or 4.4?
I think they were discussing XFree86, not FreeBSD.

My question is what syntax can I add, if any, to my httpd.conf
, that's actually for the developers. And yes,
it makes your kernel bigger AND slower.
For the rest, see /usr/src/sys/i386/conf/NOTES
