than the hub we added a switch. I never
tried to configure it manually. Secondly although most IP-packages
gets filtered some packages still get though. Thirdly some switched
are disguised hubs. (At least in my price class)

You can set up a SSH tunnels between box A and B. Required is that the
WORK FIREWALL has the SSH deamon running. One the tunnel is set up you
can do anything though it. Use FTP, telnet, vnc directly on the box B
Check out 'man ssh' option -L (or -R)

I finally succeded in adding a new drive to my concat volume (by attaching
it as a subdisk) but when I try to use 'growfs it says:

I've got a problem when compiling Peter Gutmann's CryptLib under FreeBSD
4.8 as it needs some unimplemented function in pthreads library
pthread_atfork().
How can I handle this?
Is it implemented in 5.x?
Or any other way out?

Anybody tried to connect from Linux to VPN server based on mpd (FreeBSD
4.7)
From Windows 98, Windows 2000 and FreeBSD (mpd as client) - no trouble
but from Linux (2.4.19 with MPPE support ) - no chance -
pptp client always gets -

have the overhead a normal userland program has. I beleave it also has
a bit more options for a normal firewall but no extra's like ipfw
does. The later reason is way i also run ipfw. I use it for the
traffic shaping and traffic policy only.

I'm programming in C and hence is using sockets under FreeBSD.
But unlike with SystemV IPC message exchange I didn't find the way I can
define timeout for blocking socket operations for not be infinitely
waiting them.
I can use non-blocking calls and nanosleeps but tis ugly and
of threads will work
evidently slower than that using pthreads due to more switching penalties?
2.Is it true that even 5.x has no implementation for inter-process
semaphores that are blocking calling thread only not the whole process
as usually in FreeBSD?

hda2: freeBSD BSD: 12 ( 12 linux, 13, 14, 15, 16 .
now either GRUB or LILO can boot up to 5 OS either way, OS 6+ dont boot with
various KERNEL PANIC

another list that the Opera broswer has a builtin speech option
and am wondering in our port/pkg/version has this capability.
Anybody know off hand?
