Another DNS (not MS) server answers NXDomain instead of SERVFAIL on '? kalmar.' query. And then sendmail asks for A. Email works There are two ways obviously: 1. Change sendmail behaviour, i.e. make it ask for A record just after first query for . Like in 9.1-RELEASE. 2. Make MS DNS
