I have to admit that I didn't wait for an hour, as buildkernel usually
complete within 30 minutes on my system. I just tried to build the kernel
on another very similar system, no problems there. I forgot to mention that
I tried to upgrade from an 8-STABLE from last summer directly to the latest
I removed /usr/include/utmp.h and restarted inetd/telnetd/sshd.
Hopefully that does the trick..
