Hello all,
I very much liked the possibillity to easily manage jails via rc.conf.
Unfortunately I was missing some features.
First, there are many security.jail.allow_* sysctl which didn't get
attention.
Second; I needed to allow different things on different jails. For

Hello,
since isc-dhcpd-4.1.1 promised ipv6, I wanted to replace my existing
DHCP servers with this new version.
I'm running chrooted. My problem was with logging.
dhcpd is very noisy and setting log-facility local1 in dhcpd.conf
doesn't work out of the box (*) because of the chrooted

Hello,
am I complete stupid or is there a serious problem with 8.1-RELEASE:
I can write files which I have no write access to, if I have write
access to the directory of the file.
How to reproduce (tested with UFS2):
mkdir /tmp/testdir
touch /tmp/testdir/testfile
chown -R nobody:intern

Hello,
there was some discussion one year ago:
http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-current/2010-January/015180.html
I'm not seeing exactly the same problem, no timeout message, but with
ahci.ko loaded, no disk gets recognized.
Staying with ataahci it works fine.
System is 8.2-RC3-amd64.

Any chance to get ahci.ko working with that SB700 controller?
I found out that it doesn't seem to be a problem

Hello,
I just applied my local patches against RELENG_8_2 src tree and found

if I read svnweb right (sorry, lack of svn knowledge here), it's also
missing in -stable.
Any plans to commit?

Hello,
according to tar(1), the base system tape archiver is bsdtar since 8.x ,
which lacks support for multi-volumes.
I guess I can easily omit that restriction by installing gtar from

Is there any plan to implement split volume support again for the base
