Sorry, I have no idea what could be wrong. Version 5.0 was 10 years ago:). You can try copying the v5.3 mri_convert into v5.0, but I suspect that the error will crop up in other places. The other thing you can try is to convert the file with 5.3 and then see if 5.0 runs on that file On
