I used to have -fs -zoom -aspect 4:3, may be it can help.
I noticed that some DVB channels are broadcasted not in 720x576 but 544x576
resolution and obviously expanded on screen.

I believe PAL should be 768x576, so 480x576 is indeed a strange resolution
for video
the PAL standard only defines the number of lines: 576 (NTSC: 480)
due to the old analog CRT TV monitors, the number of horizontal pixels only
depends on the quality and the technology, the TV just scales the

I notice almost the same problem when running X from the commands menu
(framebuffer setup).
After a certain amount of time, x just gets shut down, and the
main-500.logalso gives the Oops, command refuses to die, try bad
hack line

I am using fedora 6 x86_64.
when I go around the menu like inside the my music
the music folders are they but their is no icons.
I have tryed different themes with the same errors and no icons on the folders.
maybe my permissions are screwed up?
