Nice solution with timeout, Dominik, now it works fine with urxvtc. But why you have removed #ifdef HAVE_READLINE around code which uses readline library in FvwmConsole/getline.c? Now FvwmConsole not compiles at all if you pass --without-readline-library option to configure script.
