Mozilla is really nice and really fast. It sometimes does weird things,
though! I do like it's speed.

Mozilla 1.5 delivers pretty good performance under OS X on my Pismo 400. Not
faster than Safari, but close...

Hmm, I also forgot to mention that the instructions should also work on
G4 upgraded Wallstreet machines.
I would love to hear from anyone who would like to try this on a
Lombard or Wallstreet that has a G4 in it.

Now and then, for reasons that I cannot fathom, Word (as part of Office X)
loses its Save sound. I can get the sound back by quitting Word and
reopening the program.
The sound loss is across all Word documents for Save, although not for other
areas of Office (well, I haven't checked them all

Or better yet, go the Open Source route and go Mozilla. Netscape 7 is full of
stuff you don't want or need. I think the newest Moz

Hi!
This is really OT but I figured there was no one else to ask, so I hope
you'll pardon my stretching the relevance here...

I haven't booted into OS 9 on my Pismo in ... a long time, but when I
did have 9 on there I did run Netscape 7 for a short time without much
of a speed issue. I have a 400 with 768MB of RAM.

I have recently had the small door on my Pismo (the little door that
covers the partial gap when you have a battery in the right-hand bay) get
detached from its moorings (?). The springs all appear still fastened to
the back of the door (that little 1 to 1.25 long one), but I cannot

Netscape 7 is not bad when it's running, but I find it really slow to
load up. By far, I prefer Mozilla - I think 1.2.1 is the last available
build for OS 9. It's fast, has

Hi all... Proud new owner of a Pismo 500 here...
I'm contemplating upgrading the CPU to either a G4 or a 900MHz G3.
Newer Tech (through OWC) has a G4 500 upgrade, as does PowerLogix.
PowerLogix also has a 900MHz G3 upgrade option. Does anyone have any
thoughts on these upgrades? 900MHz
