I recall the OP saying they were probably going to be buying used RAM. Normally I think that's a fine idea but in special cases (as with 256MB sodimms for WS) I'd suggest spending a wee bit more and buying from a specialist who can guarantee the RAM _will_work_ in a WS. OWC (macsales.com)

Hi y'all! I have just bought a cheap iBook clamshell and among the faults is a problem where the power adapter plugs into the iBook. It disconnects when one wiggles the plug. I have heard of this and I believe it can be soldered, but I thought it best to ask before opening. Any ideas ? Larry

Yes, when it wakes up I hear both the disk and the dvd(no dvd/cd inside) spinning up. I don't have OS9 so i can't try that. To complicate matters, when I replace the dvd with my second battery Pismo doesn't wake up. Flickering light goes off but the screen stays black. No disk spinning either.
