Hi guys.
just looked at flightgear.
I think we are better to stay with fs.
There are a few reasons.
1. after getting extra scenary, aircraft, etc its over a couple gb.
2. everything about the prog is inaccessible, even the tools and some of the
senary instalers.
3. all the sounds sound like they

Hi Josh,
Just wanted to mention that I have converted all of my dos games to windows
versions. Personally I think that the windows versions are much better. You
know because they use DirectX rather than shelling out to use an external sound
player program. Plus I like the sapi5 voices.
Hi Shaun,
Could you please tell me what language the open source flight simulator is
written in?
Thanks.

well you wouldn't necessarily need to make it starwars, you could make a
generic arcade type with sfx.
we don't really have a space invaders game.
Ok we have alienoutback and asonic invaders and even another few games but they
don't sound like an arcade machine.

Hi,
Well, as far as time goes that depends on how much time the developer
has to work on it and how easy the game is to program. Some of the PCS
Dos games are fairly simple programs. For example, PCS Monopoly,
probably wouldn't take that long to create. The Kick Boxing game would

Hi Josh,
Actually, I recommend you obtain FS 2004 as it is more accessible. If
you get Its Your Plane you will be able to use FS 2004 by verbally
issuing commands to FS.

Hi Lindsay,
Yes, that is a common problem with older VB 6 programs and Windows
Vista. The way I solved that problem is by installing Jim Kitchen's
Winkit installation and the problem went away for me.

Hi Liam,
No, it doesn't have to do with DirectX. It has to do with the fact that
there is a VB 6 runtime library missing. I can't remember which one is
missing that causes that particular error, but it is fixable. Although,
even when you do fix it there are other issues when running SL on
Hi Josh,
Well, As I am a Window Eyes user for the most part that is what I use
when playing games. Window Eyes 7.1 has decent support for the Windows

Hi,
I play SoundRTS, and according to the site v1.1 will allow you to do that.
Seems like SoundRTS is turning more and more engine based.

Hi list.
I am wondering if someone could please tell me how I go about getting the
ATIS working in fs2004?
I am programming in the weather to fs2004, I tell it to use the real world
weather updated every 15 minutes, and this is downloaded into the simulator.
however, I then get to the point

I recently decided to install the Kitchens Inc games on my Windows Vista
laptop, and in the process I've run into a rather strange problem. The Winkit

Yeah. The best way to make them run on Vista correctly is to open the
control panel, go to users, and disable user acount control, and
restart. After that they will work just as well as they did on Windows XP.
