Nope, what you're doing wrong is you're tapping the arrow. It says in the
manual that you need to hold the left or right arrow after you jump. Tapping
does nothing.

Comments for the win!
As to bgt's working on win10, given that its worked on xp through 8 I don't
see why it shouldn't, but stranger things have happened.

Hi guys, I'd just like to say how very impressed I am with The Gate. I
really like the sounds and voice acting is really great too, however I'm
unable to cross the first hole. I hit right arrow to the 2nd creaky bord,
then up arrow and tap the right arrow really fast to cross the gap, but
Hi Brian,
That was pretty much my thought on it to but not being to techy I wasn't

I know that spoonbill have a few you may find interesting, but can't tell
you exactly which ones.
All this said, there are a lot of word games. My total ignorance on the
subject doesn't mean they're not out

Hi John,
Yep, since it's my first big BGT project it's got lots and lots of
comments, also I've tried to keep all variables , functions etc. all well
named so it's obvious what they are/do (or at least I hope it is lol), so
I'm kind of hoping with those it'll all make a little sense when I

Again, it took me less than 2 minutes to find the page and begin the
install. It wasn't that time-consuming at all. And again, I suspect
that the developer figured that as his games have been played in the
past, people are familiar with his site and his links. I get that

Exactly John, he probably made a symple mistake, but a bit of thought on the

In the time it took you to write that, you could've gone to
www.vgstorm.com
and found the game.
I don't have a problem with your overall point - it bugs me too when people
leave out links, but when its this simple to find the game yourself, there's
really no point in ranting about it.

Actually, there is a point in what you replied to. Why should people have
to go and look for a game when a link in the original post would cure the
problem? It's laziness on the part of the poster, and unnecessary hunting
for the one who is interested. And, really, how much work does it take

While I agree with some of what you say, I have seen posts that were so

without saying anything about the game, not even where to get it. An
example would be like what I put below. And, before anyone asks, this is a

I would think so since at its core it's really just a compiler for your game
and a means of testing it as you go. Speaking of which I really ought to try

Hi,
I'm currently working on a podcast about the game for AppleVis, and hope to
