Hi Shaun,
Well, the only thing this game and Indiana Jones would have in common is
they are based on treasure hunting and Angela comes packing a pistil to
start with. Which is fair..

Hi Dark,
Interesting. Though, I don't plan on adding any super advanced weapons
like laser pistils an things of that nature.

Hi Rich,
Actually, a bull whip is a bit longer than 4 feet. The smaller ones are
around 6 feet, the average ones are 8 feet, and the longer ones are
about 10 feet. So they should have pretty good striking range for a hand
held weapon.
As far as guns goes that is a hard call. If I include a
Hi Stephen,
I suppose that might be possible to create these sound effects, but it
is not really a feasible option under the circumstances. Here I am
having to redesign the game from the ground up, and then have to make
all new effects. That would royally suck lemons.

I say a whip would probably be a good weapon although I like swords.

Hello gamers,
I've been doing some research in to Aztec technology, weapons, and
researching a viable combat system for MOTA Beta 2, and I do see some
areas we need to discuss as a group. Option one is to stick to some true
historical weapons of the Aztecs. Option 2 is to ignore the historical

Hi,
I like the idea of an Indy style start where the character enters the game
with a few weapons. any good adventurer would bring in something to protect
themselves against the unknown. But there has to be some type of limitations
that enhance, or make the game play more difficult. Let's say

Definitely Indiana Jones style! It'll make the game more exciting.

Hi
As far as reality goes, four feet for a whip is a bit well,
outrageous!… lol! Bull whips tend to be *very* long. Much longer
than four feet.
Just some thoughts… -Nice suggestions in general though…
Smiles,
Cara :)

Aztec Warriors Carrying Maquahuitl Swords into Battle
Perhaps the best known ancient Aztec weapon is the
maquahuitl (macahuitl). This is sometimes compared to
the sword, and it was a powerful, close contact weapon.
Like the European sword, they came in two varieties -
one handed and two handed.
Couldn't you record your own sound effects? you could find a piece of
wood around somewhere that could be used as the sound of the wooden
lance, you could use the cutlery from your drawer for the throwing knives etc.
In a game released in the early 1990s, the sound of metal robots
