I've been looking for a solution to that problem a long time. No luck on my
end so far. A while ago, I contacted the developer. Mr. Kinder doesn't feel
he has the time to try and address our problem. It has something to do with
how the text is displayed. He thought that it might help if
I was not able to get Win Frotz to work under my XP home at all.
I did get Win Frotz TTS to work..and it seems to work quite well.
I am currently playing station fall.
Man does this bring back fond memories of days gone by.

The newer version of windows frotz doesn't seem as useable as the old one.
Personally, I use winfrotz tts or streight winfrotz, - though weerdly as
it's based on a slightly older version, winfrotz tts seems much more stable
and has much fewer problems playing games like the old infocom
